The classes of 1987, 1988, and 1989 are up, along with their corresponding profiles. If you are from one of these classes, I encourage you to submit your profile information to be added! Also, as I'm venturing into these earlier classes, I am less and less familiar with people and faces. If you know of married names, or whether or not certain ones truly graduated, it would be most helpful if you would submit that information. Married names help us find people!
Every class from the 1990's has been put up, along with corresponding profiles. Only a few people have submitted their profile information for the 90's. If you have friends from the 90's, please encourage them to submit their information!
I've been digging through all of my old external hard drive files and finding some real treasures. I stumbled upon several videos of alumni from the past couple of years. A couple of the videos happened to be current faculty members as Seniors, talking about their vision and burden for the school. I don't think either of the two, OR the interviewer knew they would be returning to work here. I was thrilled to hear what these two men of God had to say, five years ago, as FGBI Seniors. What is even better, is that God brought some of it to pass!
One of the things mentioned by Rev. Aaron Hough was that he would like to see FGBI produce literature, and get more into publishing. This was especially exciting, because as a student, this was exactly what God had put on my heart. I felt like God had called me to the "publishing ministry." I know at the time I would have never imagined that God would call me to FGBI, and that FGBI would acquire publishing equipment, and that I would end up overseeing this portion of the school. I'm sure Brother Hough did not foresee it either, in the sense that it would be almost an immediate thing. Within 2 years of God laying that burden upon my heart, and within one year of the recording of this video, God brought this vision to pass! Another thing that was mentioned, this one by Brother James Burgess, was to see more of the building fund aspects and campus facilities grow. Since then, we have seen 55 acres of land, provided through a miracle. In only nine months, God provided the $200,000.00 needed to purchase it. Beyond that, five brand new mobile homes have been acquired and installed for faculty and upgraded student housing. These living quarters are beautiful and spacious, and have made comfortable homes for several faculty, and students. I am reminded of God's promise in Habakkuk, 2:3 "For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry." How true God's Word is! To view the video click here. To learn more about our publishing department, click here. To read about our building project, click here and read about it in the newsletter. Or, view pictures of it in our photo gallery. Added Kelly (Bragg) Jenkins profile, and also, built the 1999 Class page and corresponding profiles. Also added some news that has been submitted. You can find that on the "What's Going On?" tab.
I added Shauna (Meadow) Millikin and Liz Whitacre's profiles.
I've added profiles for: Sarah Buhrow, Shane Whitacre, Ashley Berry, Julie Freeman, Jennifer Williams, Rebecca Coffey and Netta Gaines. I haven't been able to do much more the past couple of days. Been bogged down with priorities here at school!
