EXCITING NEWS! It was pointed out in our last business meeting that the amount of funds raised for the classrooms resulted in the highest amount of money raised for an alumni project in recent years! As you may recall, our goal was to raise $10,000 for the initial phase of demolition of the old white church. The building has set unused and unsafe for so many years, and removing it was a necessary step before construction could be started of new classrooms on the same spot. The amount was a step of faith by those present in the meeting, but with some motivation from our alumni president and words of encouragement from several others, it was decided that we go for it. The vote was overwhelmingly in favor. Though we didn't hit our goal of $10 thousand, the amount given was encouraging because it exceeded the amount brought in for much smaller projects recently! For that we praise God! It was moved and decided to carry the project over into this year in an effort to raise the balance of funds. We are not quite half way to the $10,000 goal, and with the late distribution of this newsletter, we must move quickly. Would you please consider giving your best offering toward this project? If you gave last year, would you contribute again? If everyone gives their very best, the goal will be met.
Just think... Where the Gospel was preached so many years ago, Gospel preachers will now be trained on the same spot!
For any funds you would like to contribute to the project - please make a check payable to “FGBI Alumni Association”.
