Go Back to Class of 2001
Jennifer (Dissmore) Brooks
Spouse: Jeremy Brooks, Class of 1997
Children: Sophia Lauren Brooks, (Born 8/1/11)
During Bible School: I was our class secretary. My Junior and Senior year I was in the choir. I was the yearbook editor. Unfortunately they did not have the SENT team when I was a student there. I went on quite a few ministries and was part of the play cast my Junior year.
Ministerial Involvements: I graduated in May of 2001 and September 10th of that same year I was on my way to Taiwan. I was there for 6 years as a missionary. Since I was a small child, God had given me a real burden for missions, so being in Taiwan was a dream come true. I loved being in Taiwan and loved the Taiwanese people. They were bound by so much idolatry and only Jesus could set them free. I loved being able to help them understand that! In November of 2007 I left Taiwan and in January of 2008 I was on my way to Mexico. In December of 2008 I was married to Bro. Jeremy Brooks. I loved Mexico just as I had loved Taiwan. The Mexican people knew how to have church!! It was amazing to see then come from their catholic backgrounds and turn their lives completely around. February of 2011 my husband and I left Mexico to come back to the States. We didn't understand why, but we felt that was what God wanted us to do. Missions is still very much a part of us and we hope to be able to make many mission trips in the future. We are now pastoring a church in Oklahoma City and looking to see great things from God in the future!
Currently: We are currently pastoring a church in Oklahoma City in the middle of a huge Hispanic neighborhood. Imagine that!! We are looking to also start a Spanish ministry here.
